About Alfred
Alfred is a born performer. As a kid growing up in the Bronx he was known to create “radio shows” on the apartment building intercoms (to the annoyance of the building’s Super.)
In high school, he was a member of the school’s Radio Club, and broadcast play-by-play announcing of high school basketball games.
Alfred graduated with honors from San Francisco State University with a degree in Radio/TV. He got a job the day after he graduated doing radio traffic reports for Metro Traffic Control. He worked as a mobile DJ and MC for more than 25 years and at various Bay Area radio stations as air talent. He wrote, produced and voiced radio commercials, and wrote and provided voice over for local television commercials. He announced election results on local TV stations and was a radio and print news reporter.
Alfred pivoted to a 25-year career as a successful “mouthpiece” serving as a criminal defense trial attorney. In 2020 he took an early retirement to pursue his passion for performing. He received voice over training from Voice One Voice Over, Real Voice Los Angeles, Elaine Clark VO, The Voice Actors Studio, and BRAVA. He studied acting at ACT San Francisco, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, John Rosenfeld Studios Hollywood, Killian’s Commercial Workshop and Camera Left Stage Right. He studied improv with Second City, ComedySportz, iO Chicago, UCB, PIT, Magnet Theatre, Nest Theatre and Groundlings.
As a voice actor, Alfred has voiced a cartoon singing car for a Chevron commercial, a Soviet Soldier for a video game, a starving mouse for a cartoon and many other projects. He provided VO for podcasts, commercials, podcasts and websites, including AutoFi, Spin-X slot games, Illumeabely Media and countless films and shorts. He portrayed Charles Lindburgh in an audiobook about Amilia Earhart.
He also acts on-camera and stage and has been featured in a national TV show with Peyton Manning, many films, videos and commercials. He had a starring role as Chief Justice Earl Warren in a stage play. He enjoys karaoke, playing the electric bass and playing with his dog and cat.
